Meet Your Hosts
Annette Tomei & Lisa Belczyk
Wander, Eat, & Tell Experiences
Serendipity brought together these two culinary and beverage dynamos! Annette and Lisa had the great fortune to first cross paths during an online meet-up for hospitality professionals, where they immediately discovered synergies in their philosophy and approach to designing exciting food and drink experiences for the culinarily curious.
Continuing to connect after this initial introduction, Annette and Lisa began to create delightful and engaging classes, workshops, presentations, and experiences – combining their love of history, culture, and lore with delicious food and drinks – for a diverse set of clients. Their inaugural offering as a duo was under the momentous auspices of the Holland America Line’s 150th Anniversary transatlantic crossing from New York to Rotterdam, where Annette and Lisa presented a series of innovative lectures onboard the stunning Rotterdam cruiseliner, focusing on the fascinating foodways and spirits of The Netherlands.
Now, Annette and Lisa are continuing to bring their uniquely fun, interactive, and innovative programming to a global audience, from uncovering the quirky local food histories of small western Pennsylvania towns, to beautifully curated food and drink excursions at the rich historical sites of Scotland – and beyond!
We are honored to have you join us on our food and beverage wanderings – cheers!

Mary Stange
Mary is very excited to be joining this trip as a coordinator. As Owner and Operations Director for Ponte Travels, her passion for travel was first sparked through a study abroad semester in Limerick, Ireland at the age of 19. Since then, she has traveled the world over — many of those with two kids by her side. A career serving in the U.S. Navy inspired her to seek an advanced degree in International Relations from American University with a focus in Development. Her work since then has further instilled her characteristic global mindset and dedication to encourage others to experience the world first-hand and support local economies. After separating from the Navy in 2015, she moved abroad as a family member with the State Department, allowing her the opportunity to live overseas in countries such as Armenia, Colombia, and Cyprus.
Mary believes in the transformative nature of travel; that experiencing the world with respect and humility develops tolerance, empathy, and most of all understanding of the world and ourselves. She is passionate about creating unforgettable trips for the constantly curious and allowing space for exploration and wonder.
Mary loves to read and paddleboard in her spare time and currently lives in Maryland with her husband, kids, golden retriever, and Cypriot street cat.
